Travelled this route four times in a recent six-day trip to Brittany. Surface a bit iffy in the southern section but got progressively better going north.
Route is relentless - bend after bend after bend..... great fun!!
Saw virtually no traffic and no sign of Police.
Start of the road from Jokioinen toeards Somero some very nice curves. Opens up later on. Nice quality tarmac.
The first part from Grasse is no great shakes, but after the junction to Tourettes, it gets really good- keep going west past Draugignon for some more fun
A mostly tedious, uninteresting road with loads of traffic, which seemed to be a constant series of small, uninteresting towns close to each other, with hardly any open road at all. Don't bother- if you need to go West, take the M-way and head North further down the line
Not for the faint hearted! Around 270miles of the best roads and scenery the north of England has to offer. The 3 best bits of this mini tour in my opinion are: hartside Pass, (Hexham to Penrith) the A683 (Kirkby Stephen to Devils Bridge)
Reviewed wrongly previously. Hardly any traffic, superb road surface, with the ability to absolutely gun it on some straights. Worth the detour
A truly delightful road. If there was a road God specifically for bikes, then this would be one of His Grand Creations. Had a major blast, sheered one of my hero blobs off - and this was on a Ducati Diavel. I'd do this road again and again...
