This is a big trip.
I only did a couple of hundred miles a day, looking at the national parks and such like on the way. I stayed L-V, Springdale, San Juan, Moab, Torrey and Kanab, and took my time exploring the area on amazingly quiet roads.
This is a hot ride in the summer and can be cold and even snowy in the winter as you're quite high up. Dress according to the season!
Hazard: If you're staying in a town, fill up before you leave in the morning: Gas stations get few and far between.
Hazard: Tar snakes are greasy in the summer!
Hazard: Dehydration: Take plenty of water....and drink it!

Great views and twisty roads for a quick ride.
This ride is best done not on days when everyone wants to go to the lake, or you will be spending more time at lights than is ideal.
Also, it is MUCH more enjoyable when there is no construction.
The truck route into Virginia City from Moundhouse, this road is mostly empty with the infrequent semi, RV, or slower driver making their way up. One passing section at the Lyon/Storey county line. Pavement is mostly smooth with the biggest hazard behind dirt and small rocks coming down off the mountain. Corners are big sweepers designed with trucks in mind.
Main hazard to look out for are wild horses and folks crossing the double yellow. The Sheriff station is at the top of the hill.
Nice cruiser with nice corners.
Exceptional corners. Be on watch for debris on roads from Virginia city center heading down to Highway 50.
Visiting Las Vegas? This is the loop to take the rental. This is a great run through the desert along Lake Mead. The corners are awesome and the scenery is really incredible. Stop at Echo Bay Resort for lunch then head over to the Valley of Fire State Park and bring the camera! Beautiful place. Your choice is head back the way you came or just scoot on back to Vegas down I15. I used to live in Vegas, this is a great loop for anyone.
Needing to make tracks from Idaho to Reno I discovered this very pleasant little route. Hwy 51 runs out of MH across the Snake River. It's desolate and mostly straight till you get to the border. There's a nice canyon carver there thru BLM land there with signs warning "Wild Mustang Crossing." Then right before Elko there's a great section of high speed sweepers. I liked 'em so much I turned around and rode them again! Nice surprise.
Some pretty good twisties here and no one about, thus good fun :)
Can be a bit sandy, good fun though.
Very twisting ride up and down to Lake Tahoe. Very scenic too, nice ride if the weather is good, don bother if it isn .
Mentioned here as a nice scenic alternative to Interstate 15, quite a good road and much more interesting than I15!
The loneliest road in America should be experienced by everyone once, if only to lose yourself and then find yourself again.
Another completely deserted Nevada road with a a couple of nice corners.
Interesting in that it is almost always completely deserted, a few interesting corners and straights too.
What a great road for sports tourer! Some nice little twisty sections mixed in with some wiiiide open straights to gas it. Very nice!
This route starts in ernest from Steamboat, just south of Reno (take the 395). It is quite steep and twisty in places and takes you past Lake Tahoe.
