Hauptstraße von Korcula nach Vela Luka. Ideal als Insel-Hopping Tipp.
Start from Karlobag: from sea to 935 meters in 17 km: 8 nice hairpins. Then very nice undulating road thru Gospic until Gracac. Good straights, wide road. After Gracac go down to canyon road. Extreme scenery, narrow but good road, completely deserted, like UTAH. We loved every yard of it.
average on traffic, lots of stretches to overtake. Practically no more than 100m straights... Summer of course full of goddamm campers but really exceptional scenery of Island Pag (like Moon)
The Descent down to the old town of Trogir on the D58 is quite spectacular. A nice road to ride at pace but don't miss out on the views.
Linking the D8 Coastal Road to Plitvice Lakes the D25 is a treat to ride. Leaving Karlobag you climb up in to the mountains with pleasant views out to sea. After the Velibit Park you lose sight of the sea and head inland winding down through Tree Lined mountain sides to Gospic.
From Gospic to Siroka Kula is a bit bland but then the roads and scenery improve. While we were there major road works were taking place involving little warning before hitting areas under construction with associated machinery. It should be fantastic when done.
The treat at the end is a visit to The Plitvice Lakes, a must do if you are in the area but allow at least half a day to experience it. A full day is better.
Beautiful road connecting cities Vis and Komiza; along the route there are many nice beaches to visit and enjoy; specially off season when there arent crowded.
This is a short route, but recommended to everyone that is around. You follow the signs for the highway; but the idea is just to climb up the twisty road and take a superb look over the coast and islands; also a great road to ride in the sunset!
This is one of the fastest routes along Croatia; the road is wide open, great to speed up a bit without getting in to dangerous. Police is almost always present in Gracac city, so be careful. Starting from Plitvice National park, you can stop in Knin and take a look from the old fortres, pass the Perucko Lake and arrive to Sinj. From there you can continue towards Split but the road gets more narrow and slower. A great ride!
This amazing route, just beside the sea, you can go fast, slow, average, watching the island, watching the sea, really amezing !!
Simple and tastful road for a day cruise. Food is excellent country side is gorgeous. very little traffic.
This route is a trespass between Jadranska magistrala route and Južna dalmacija route.
Stop for a sightseen whenever you feel
Best period to ride a tour during spring and autumn.
A road that pass from 3 countries, so keep your passports in your tank bag ;) A really spectacular route with no traffic at all, great corners and great great great views…
