Have done this rout a few time and just a note of warning for first timers! Their are a few tight 90 degree bends that can catch you out if ya not careful but never the less a great rout :-) 6/10
I am new to GPS, Mapsource and this site, so forgive me if my satnav route is not presented in the usual format as I have not done this before. Anyway after many hours of perusing the exciting routes on this website, I thought it only fair to share this little gem with you all :-) Its very tight and twisty but gravely on some corners.
You will enjoy this route I am sure, just get to know the route well before you relly enjoy it :-)
Safe riding all
This is the route used by the Notts & Lincs Air Ambulance Ride-out of 2016. Great route that starts at RAF Waddington Viewing Area (WAVE) on A15, swings round via Southwell, then Gunthorpe, before heading up via Langar, Harby and Waltham to come to Grantham 'Race Track' via Colserworth. Along High Dyke to Ancaster, then Via Ruskington to get back to A15. 115 Miles
Route from IKEA at Nottingham, avoiding motorways, stopping at Seaways Biker Cafe.
My favourite Sunday run - Ashbourne to the High Peak and back. Circular route - mainly small country roads. Lots of bends, great scenary - not a high speed run, Ive done it on a C15 before now. Stop for a mug of tea at Wetton Mill on the way back, good bikers tea room - open in the week end in winter, all day in summer.
Start and Finish @ Morrison’s Car Par Buxton (Toilets/food/drink) - Winnats Pass / Ladybower reservoir / Snake Pass / Derwent Valley / Chatworth Park / Matlock Bath and Bakewell - Lots of places to take a break for Tea/Chips/Cake or even Coffee if it takes you fancy
