The Sea-to-Sky highway is multilane, and pleasant enough on a sunny day. Near Horseshoe Bay the views of the sea are spectacular. From Squamish to Pemberton the ride is decent but nothing out of the ordinary. However, from Pemberton to Lillooet on Hwy 99 is a spectacular 2+ hour ride! Magnificent scenery, and the road is very curvy and hilly - almost ideal for a motorcycle ride.

I've read a couple of older reviews here saying the road surface is bad in places. As of June 2017, not true. Except for one short 10-km stretch that was undergoing chip sealing (therefore gravelly and dusty), the road was good decent pavement. Very little in the way of cracks, frost heave, potholes etc.

Not much traffic, except for the chip seal section as it was timed one-way with an escort vehicle. I didn't see any wild critters, but I am sure there are deer, bears, etc. in the area to watch out for.

Overall well worth the ride! I would give it about 4.5 stars out of 5.

I rode home to Prince George this way in july of 2012 on my ´78 KZ650C2. My wife was towing our travel trailer so we camped out at Duffy Lake in the mountians. It rained most of the night as a storm blew thru. When i woke up it was like a story book . The clouds parted , the roads dryed, and the only sound was a bored and ported 810cc 2 valve with a kerker on it !!! Definately the best Morning I could have. The best part was, because I camped out In the mountians there was No traffic, None. Boy Did i have fun!!The ´Ol Kaw still has plenty of pull and I made the most of it. Awsome ride!

A fantastic ride! Traffic increases significantly after Whistler towards Vancouver. Meet some wild horses along the way. Nice corners with some serious drop offs with no barriers. If you're coming from the East to Vancouver I recommend going out of your way to take this road.

Just a great ride! Lots of corners and just enough straights to get by slow traffic if you e on the throttle hard. Wildlife warning, this is remote country. Great new pavement on the Whistler half of the road but old nasty pavement complete with frost heaves on the interior half of the route. Lots of great picnic spots along the way next to lakes and rivers. Corners can be tight so you have to stay alert. Can be dicey in heavy rain or early/late season with slippery sections in the shade.
A great ride though. Good pubs/restaurants at each end to warm up in. Gas at each end but nothing along the way.
