I live in the area and love this road. A good surface and no bad corners. Theres a lovely series of fast curves approaching Caerleon. Sadly the last five years have seen an increasing number of speed camera signs and police presence. The latter are only around on weekends/bank holidays.
A great country road with plenty of open sweeping corners, nice tight hairpins and a few great open straights to get some speed. Ride it a few times back and forth and youll find the places where you can open the throttle around corners and over crests. Plenty of road signs to guide you and help you st speeds for corners. Watch out for the odd pot hole or worn tarmac. Not much traffic so get out and ride it!
