Nice little route for novice riders, \
who need to practice cornering. Also good if you have very
little time (such as an afternoon after work) and really want
to go for a short ride. The first bit has some nice corners.
Up Lommedalen is much more sedate.
A seminal road much like Californias Highway 1. Route 17 follows Norways spectacular coastline. Theres a lot of ferry crossings so be sure to buy a ferry schedule before you go. Watch for speed traps.
A fun and little travelled route.
As the road on the other side of the lake is better,
this side sees little traffic, but has much more
fun corners, bends, ups and downs. Just be careful around some of them.
Along the route there are lots of beautiful old farms,
some look li...
The Bergsdal road takes you up in the mountains on the old road between Bergen and Voss. The area has farms, summer houses and the occasional old power station. Beware of cows, sheep, potholes and blind corners. This is not a good speed run, but a relaxed scenic ride. The scenery is absolutely beaut...
Good route on the East coast of Randsfjorden
(Rands Lake) just North of Oslo. It is a very nice
day-trip to do both East and West Coast of the lake in one day.
A nice selection of switchbacks through some great scenary. Because of it's tight and twisty nature, it's difficult to exceed the speed limit seriously and so makes a nice exception from the expensive speeding fines in this country!!
The heart of the western fjord country. From Hermansverk, head north on Route 5 alongside the Jostedalsbreen glacier. At Skei, turn right on E39 to Byrkjelo, then hang a right towards olden then onwards to the famous Geirangerfjorden. Beauty such as this is hard to match. Alesund is a beautiful fish...
From the verdant meadows and the lush cultural landscape of Bøverdalen you can catch a glimpse of towering mountains in the far distance, as the road slowly ascends through the valley. It makes its way up to the summit at 1,434 metres, making the road northern Europe’s highest mountain pass. From...
